Filmmaker/screenwriter/novelist Lisa Gold has written award-winning screenplays and eight award-winning short films, which she also directed and/or produced. Lisa has a B.A. from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. from UCLA.
As a Fellow in the American Film Institute’s Directing Workshop for Women+, Lisa’s AFI short film played in 39 festivals. Her most recent short played in 56 festivals. In preparation for shooting her first feature, Lisa continued her film education, recently obtaining an A.A. degree from Los Angeles City College. A lover of improv comedy, Lisa is a graduate of the Second City Conservatory.
Lisa was selected as a participant in The Writers Lab Canada 2026 with her newest pilot CANADA RESISTS. She is currently filming a proof of concept for her feature.
